In a trendy destination, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the resort shines as one of the best for luxurious treatment. The Ritz-Carlton Abama is sliced along the southern coast of Tenerife. The island has two airports. The south airport, which is about 35 minutes away and the north airport which is about an hour and 15 minutes drive.
The Canary Islands are a soon to be upcoming U.S. hotspot with United Airlines becoming the first major U.S. carrier to fly roundtrip to the Canaries in June 2022. With less than 7-hours of flying time from Newark, it won’t be surprising if more airlines follow suit.
The seven resort pools and 10 restaurants and several club lounges around The Ritz-Carlton Abama makes this the perfect spot for a vacation with family, friends, destination wedding or corporate retreat. You can also head to the beach below the resort to enjoy some much needed R&R. There’s also an 18-hole golf course, one of the best in Spain, and seven tennis courts. You can even explore around the island to immerse yourself in the culture.
By car, it takes about 2 and a half hours to circle the island and there are so many more activities available; whale watching, wineries, snorkeling or a visit to Teide-Pico Viejo stratovolcano, inside Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This desired destination and resort is one that will also satisfy your culinary needs. It has several Michelin star restaurants (MB even has two Michelin stars). The Ritz-Carlton Abama also has adult only Villas for guests seeking a quieter experience outside of the main resort area which is family friendly. Several sections in the Villas are also family friendly and there are also spots that appeal to adults-only guests. Renovations are on the way for several of the restaurants, Citadel building suites, as well as the Villas which will include private pools.
